Documented expertise in the academic subject area as well as interpersonal,
oral presentation, and written communication skills, as demonstrated by data
sheets, diplomas, transcripts, certifications, CVs/Resumes, and phone or
Minimum of 2 years of industry experience with prior post-secondary teaching
Masters degree, however, a Terminal Degree in given discipline is preferred.

Unofficial copies of graduate transcripts;
Teaching philosophy statement.
Faculty members do more than teach at AIU Online. Faculty members are actively
engaged in student retention activities as well as planning, development and
maintenance of program curriculum.
Faculty applicant submits all required documents.
Academic Recruiter contacts applicant to discuss credentials and provide
specific information about the opportunity.
Phone interview is conducted with Recruiter and Dean of Instruction.
Applicant, Recruiter, and Dean of Instruction determine what courses applicant
is academically qualified to teach and his/her availability.
If applicant is selected to teach, he or she will attend an online orientation,
hosted on our Virtual Campus, and complete the new hire packet.
